 Salat Al-Tasbeeh

In the name of Allah (SWT), the most Gracious, the most Merciful. We glorify Allah (SWT) and seek His blessings and salutations for His Noble Rasool, his companions, and those who follow him in upholding the cause of the right religion. Here are Hadiths concerning the blessing of Namaz (prayers) that reveal the importance and remedy of all problems relating to a human being.

This is an Islamic teaching and life-changing blog.

Ibn Abbaas (R.A) relates that once the Last Prophet May Peace Be Upon Him said to his uncle Abaas (R.A) O Abaas my uncle I want to make a special gift to you ie to tell you something special so that if you act upon it Allah SWT will forgive all your sins, whether old or new, intentional or unintentional, minor or major, open or secret. That action is to offer four rakaat of nafil salaat and during each rakat, after you have recited soora al faatihah and one or more soorah, then you should say subhaanallaahi wal hamdu lillaahi walla ilaaha illal-llahu walla-hu akbar

15 times, while standing still then repeat it 10 times when you are rukoo, 10 times when you rise from rukoo, 10 times in the first sajdah, 10 times when you rise from the first sajdah, 10 times in the second sajdah, 10 times and 10 times when you sit up after the second Sajdah.

  • The total in each rakaat comes to 75 times. If possible, you should offer this salaah once every day, and if you cannot do it daily, then offer it every Friday, once a month or once a year, or at least once in your lifetime.

  • A companion of the Hazrat MUHAMMAD May Peace Be Upon Him has narrated, once Hazra MUHAMMAD May Peace Be Upon Him said to me, “Come to me tomorrow morning, I will grant you something, I will give you a special gift”. I thought that I would be given something of material value. When I went to him, He said to me. “Offer four rakaat of Nafil after midday”. Then The Last Prophet May Peace Be Upon Him explained the method of offering this prayer Salaat as mentioned in the above Hadith Shareef.
  • Hazrat MUHAMMAD May Peace Be Upon Him also told me that, even if I were more sinful than other people, my sins would be forgiven. I asked Him what I should do if, for some reason, I am not able to offer this prayer at the given time. He told me to perform it whenever I could perform during the day or night.

  • Hazrat Naafi (R.A) narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (R.A) reported that Hazrat Muhammad May Peace Be Upon Him had sent his cousin Ja’far (R.A) to Ethiopia. When he returned back from there and reached Madina Munnovra, the Last Prophet Muhammad May Peace Be Upon Him embraced him, kissed him on his forehead, and said to him, “Shall I give you something, give you good news, give you a gift, grant you a present? He replied, in the affirmative, and then the Last Prophet Hazrat MUHAMMAD May Peace Be Upon Him asked him to offer four rakaat in the manner mentioned above and explained. In this Hadith Shareef the four more sentences followed by laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil alaliyy al azeem.

  • Abbass Ibn Abdul Muttalib (R.A) narrated, “ The Last Prophet Hazrat MUHAMMAD May Peace Be Upon Him said to me, “ Should I grant you a present, give you a gift, bestow something on you? I thought that He wanted to give me some material thing that had not been given to anybody else. Then He taught me the method of offering four rakaat, as mentioned and explained above. He also told me that when I sit for tashahhud I should repeat the words before reciting the duaa of tashahhud”.
  • Abdullah Ibn Mubaarak and many other scholars while narrating the virtues of this salaat al tasbih, also narrate the following method of offering this salaah.

After reciting subhaanallaahi wal hamdu lillaahi walla ilaaha illal-llahu walla-hu akbar

And before starting soorah al Fatihah repeat these words 15 times. Then start with aa ‘oozu billah and bismillah and after completing soorah al Fatiha and some more verses from the Holy Quran, these words should be repeated 10 times before the rukoo, 10 times during the rukoo, 10 times after rising from the rukoo, 10 times in each sajdah and 10 times while sitting between the 2 sajdah. It means that you should say and complete 75 times in one rakaat. This kalma must be said only 75 times, so no need to say it after 2 sajdah in a sitting position. It should also of worthy to hear and act on it, that in rukoo, subhaana rabiyal azeem and in the sajdah subhaana rabiyal aalla should be recited befor reciting these words.

  • This method is also narrated to have been advised by the Holy Prophet May Peace Be Upon Him.
